Halfords price is looney, €99 for a Starlet battery
I would think that your local factors would supply and fit one (if you ask nicely) for €70 maximum. My Lucan knowledge is lacking these days but the factors across from Tallaght IT I always found excellent when I lived in Dublin, that was 6 years ago now though.

Tallaght Auto Parts is indeed probably the cheapest of the motor factors.

Motor factors beside the post office in Dodsborough (near Tesco) will sort ya - it won't be more than €60.

Second that, got a battery for a micra in Tallaght auto parts motor factors, think it was 45 euro, not sure what amp hour, but they will know what to give you, just look at the battery and see if you can see what amp hour rating it is and maybe even measure the dimensions in cm's (taking care not to drop the tape measure across the terminals if they are not covered)
Ring them up/price around motor factors from the golden pages
    99 euro is mad

Think there is a motor factors up in dodsboro, beside the spar/post office (which are both very near tesco) haven't looked there in a while so not 100% certain its still there?

    Fishtits supplies batteries.

    OE spec batteries.

If you want cheap and cheerful then bugger off.

If you want OE spec, does exactly as it states, for 10 years, hit me.

You're selling batteries and you give a 10 year warranty with them?

Make sure your Starlet is not a Japanese import. The batteries for those are harder to get and probably a bit more expensive.

See, that just makes it even weirder!

Ah, Pighead - haven't seen him around in a while, although i don't frequent AH much. He is constant in his use of the third person, and does it with style...

Hearing it in general makes me think of Pee Flynn. Joan Burton did it on Tonight with Vincent Browne on TV3 earlier this week too - she was pretty OTT during most of that programme, imo.

Tallaght auto parts did a battery I was looking for a micra import, they can be a different size so, thats why I suggested earlier to measure it up, you should know by looking at the rear plate (if its square type) if its an import or by the numerous stickers around the place written in Japanese.
