Video over local network

Does anyone know of a decent app for Android that'll stream video from a computer running Win7 to my Android based phone(SGS)? I used to have an iPhone and used Air Video which worked great, but have yet to find a good alternative that supports Android. Even something that'll transfer the whole video over rather than streaming; all I want is to be able to watch multiple videos without having to constantly connect it via USB to my computer.

Both computer and phone are all on the same local network, with the computer being wired to my router and the phone connected via Wi-Fi. The videos that I'll be watching are all Xvid AVI.

It'd be great if someone could point out an application that'll do this.
    Thanks in advance.

How about Skifta? It works by DLNA but it looks pretty cool. Now all you needs is the set up your PC as a DLNA server and you should be able to play stuff on your Android device.
