Looking for a new car for the missus

    Looking for a new car for my missus. Not really having much look atm. She has about 4k cash plus 1k of a trade in (Been offered from 1k-1.5k for a trade in). So about 5k to spend on the car.

    She travels to Dublin Mon-Fri. So I'd need something that wasn't hard on petrol. The cars available for the prices right now aren't great. Especially in her price range. She won't take something that looks like shít. I recommended a 03 Focus. But she didn't like the look of it.

    Any decent cars for her? I just want something that's not hard on Petrol. She is looking at 1.4-1.6 really. Any advice. I'm not the greatest with cars now myself.
