There's a possibility of my hours being cut in work and I know you can claim for the days that you don't work, I was just wondering if anyone knows how much of the lost pay is covered?

if you are entitled to jobseekers benefit, if you are claiming only for yourself and not for a spouse/partner or children, then you will get euro31 for each day on which you suffer a loss of employment. you must be looking for full time work on these days.

If you're cut to 3 days you may be able to claim jobseeker's benefit for the other 2.

If your hours are cut but you're still working 4-5 days a week, you may be able to claim an income supplement and apply for a medical card, however it will be means tested, so it depends on your income.

If you days are cut to 3 days a week you will get jsb/jsa for 3 days. If you are cut to 4 days you get nothing.
