This has been thrashed out many times here before, yes you could, if you could find someone stupid enough to collaborate with you as there would be next to no financial gain for them.
Think about it, the max government contribution €1250 (all other discounts are from the dealer or distributor and should be available to anybody with the balls to ask for them), which would surely need to be split both ways so max benefit for each of you is €625.
Your collaborator gets what is effectively a pre-registered car, something that should be easilly got at a €625 discount compared to a brand spanky new car from a dealer.
I can understand your motivation to make a quick buck, what motivation is there for someone else to collaborate with you?

I think your car has to have a current NCT (or had one in the last 90 days) in order to avail of the scheme.

Yea I'd put it through the NCT & get a fail cert for it

Thanks for the reply, the quick buck language is a tad strong, but any way I'll see can I sell it on the open market or just scrap it

the new car would have to be registered in YOUR name, so what advantage would the "buyer" gain by being the second owner ? As we all know, a new car loses a huge chunk of value the second it leaves the Dealer.

Legal or not, I don't care but this sort of blatant shilling is not allowed here. Thread closed.
