Cross between a Springer and a Cocker.
Anyone here use or breed these?
I have heard some great reports about these little fellas?

It all depends on the pup. some can be good and others bad. Just like springers and cockers, my uncle has a cracking sprocker. If he had papers he would be worth a lot of money.

You could have a great litter or a dud litter, kinda hit and miss. Only thing is that there cheaper than buying a cocker or springer. I'd say most people who have dogs will always come across a crossbred who is 10 times better than a dog they would of paid double or triple the price.

the father in law has 1, the dog would go through a brick wall to retrive a bird,,, brought him to cork last year, i shoot a cock the bird ran down a rabbit hole, i had to pull the dog out of the hole by his 2 back legs, thought i was going to have to get a shovel n dig him out, he still had the bird in his mouth, I also used him on a driven shoot he retrived two birds at the same time,
he paid 50 pounds for him.

sprockers are great little dogs but just make sure the cocker is a working dog and not show type or you will have a useless hairy hound:D:D:D

That fella was me. Just telling what I know, Landkeeper on here pm me some stuff about cockers which throws my theory up in the air. I'd shoot over a collie if it worked:D

everything in my neck of the woods is cliche really.i reckon a collie could be a good bet if trained to it.met a fella a couple of weekends a go with a terrier and a rhodesian ridgeback.terrier for rising birds and ridgeback for retrieving.was a bit wierd to see it.wasnt on gun club land but was on land i had permission for.back to matters anyway.have you shot over collies before!
