rent allownace in waterford

Just wondering if anyone knows what the maximum is that a couple is allowed pay towards rent allowance. we are paying 137 euro altogether weekly, is that too much??? also will anything be taken off our social welfare payments if we apply for rent allownace as a couple. Tried to social welfare site but couldn't figure it…

the max rate for a couple in Waterford is E470 / mth so if you are paying 137 euro a week (E550 / mth) you are over the threshold to receive any rent supp.
In order to receive any help with your rent you need to get your LL to agree to the cheaper rent rate or move to somewhere cheaper

its a 108 a week or 432 a month in waterford i think for a single person
