How much concrete

    Doin a bit of diy and have a base set up ready for concrete,

    It measures 40ft x 20ft and 6inch's deep,

    How many meters do i need?

    400 cubic foot = 11.326 738 637 cubic meter

    Yes, I'd make that out to be around 11.14 m3 which is roughly the same.

    Order 12 m3 and you cant go wrong. Better looking at it than looking for it :)

    When I converted to m before multiplying I got 11.16 but when I converted after getting the cubic foot measurement it came out to more... hmmm.

    Aye, I was using 0.15 as a conversion of 6" and that's where the difference probably is. Should have used 0.152. You are indeed correct at 11.32 m3

    It puzzed me a little so I did it both ways and it worked out the same:

    40 x .3048 = 12.192
    20 x .3048 = 6.096
    0.5 x .3048 = 0.1524

    12.192 x 6.096 x 0.1524 = 11.326


    40 x 20 x 0.5 = 400.
    400 x .0283 = 11.32
