USB to ethernet

    Hi Guys

This would work out as a cheaper solution for me if it works.

I need to run a cable that is 12+ feet in distance. The end the device will be a web cam, connected to a pc with no bluetooth or network available.
Once the cam is installed I wont be able to reach it again, so bluetooth is a no go.
If I convert USB to cat(x) and back to USB would the signal attenuate too much? I have alot of patch cable to play with but no USB extensions. Would power over USB/Ethernet cable be affected by this?

    Any help would be great

looking at something like this to convert it

    Cheers,
    Nabber
