IMO it's a pile of crap. But I know it has lots of fans. The question is . . . has it jumped the shark? has it lost it's appeal? has it become pure rubbish?

Era for gods sake its a bit of a laugh with a bit o motoring thrown in. If you like a bit of a laugh, with a bit of car-age thrown in then its mint. People should stop taking it so seriously.

Mind you the fact that it won best FACTUAL tv series recently is a bit of a stretch.

Generally its rubbish, and has been for quite some time, but last weeks episode wasn't bad. Best episode in about 2 years. Its entertainment. If you want motoring, 5 Gear I suppose would be better. Personally I hate it.

I'll put it this way, 5/6 years ago I would not have missed a second of it, I would be glued to my seat until it was over.

These days - I'll get up and make a cup of tea, or step outside and have a fag - I have Sky+ these days and still won't pause it.

I will watch it every week though - it does still have soem great content, bit too scripted now though.

Top Gear has become predictable, in saying that I still watch it weekly, I've come to realise it isnt going to be great and whenever it is a good episode I feel it was worth it to watch.

At the end of the day it has a huge fan base and most of us know that its not as great as it was and the comedy attempts sometimes is just cringe worthy, but we come back for more.

I like it but it has become a bit stale.

Wish they'd get rid of the ''reasonably priced car'' yoke and maybe instead review some more average motors ( the kind normal people might actually drive). The first ten minutes is usually fine. After that.......... it's kak.

Richard Hammond ruined it, can't abide the little prick & the stupid scripts that go on between him and Clarkson. I used to love it back in the day, was my favourite show. The challenges would be good if they used decent cars, loved the artic one but the banger ones are crap imo.
