visa in 5 days?

    hi,

    my husband read in the paper that since the awful flooding in Brisbane, they need skilled trades people badly and if a company is willing to sponsor you they will put through your visa in 5 days.

    Has anyone seen the article, applied or received information about it?

    we were about to emigrate to the UK (couple (32 yrs) with 2 young kids) but since my husband is a qualified electrician with nearly 10 years experience, it seems he'd do quite well in Oz salary-wise.

    i suppose im just trying to find out other people's experiences if they are in a similar situation to our own. We cannot stay here, its just unsustainable at this stage.
