If there's any holes or latches you could try putting a bungee cord across it. Double sided tape would work too but may be awkward when you need to take the wheel out.

Lots of new cars don't come with a spare wheel these days. It helps manufacturers reduce costs.

Not just costs, that's how all those 2Litre diesel German cars manage to squeeze into tax band B

I can understand cars fitted with run flats but where there should be a wheel and none.

...looked at a new Audi today - and there's no place to put one, even if you had a spare wheel - battery is smack, bang in middle of 'well.

Tis the norm- I pulled up on the motorway one evening in the cold weather, when I saw a lady standing at the side of the road with flasher's on. FL tyre was toast, car had no spare - had to call out a flat bed - sidewall damage. Car was a 2010 (iirc) Focus.

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

I've run flats too but managed to get my hands on a space saver, no tyre well so it is lying flat in the boot under a blanket. The run flats will be ditched for regular tyres as soon as they are worn.

My audi has its battery in the wheel well. This then has a shaped plastic cover, over which the space saver wheel goes.

I dont think audi have gone the run flat route at all so it must come with a spare. Im open to correction though

Was looking at a new Auris with a friend, No spare wheel either, just a compressor and a can of s***. I wouldn't feel comfortable driving round with no spare wheel
