DNS Error when starting GT5

    For some reason my Playstation won't let me play Gran Turismo 5 when I'm signed in?

    A message comes up on the screen saying ''An error during connection with the server.
    This is a DNS error.
    (80710102)

    If it helps I'm on NAT Type 2 !

    Anyone else having this.

    What are your DNS numbers?

    A message comes up on the screen saying ''An error during connection with the server.
    This is a DNS error.

    This is just an IP address conflict. Your PS3 can't connect to the router with the current IP information, just reboot your router and the problem is solved!

    I tried that but it didn't work.

    I've managed to get it working in the end but it was something that never happened to me before so...

    not sure if its the same thing ,but some games ive found wont let you play online or let you play at all,and the only soloution ive found is that an update has always been due when its happend to me .

    Correct, if there is an update available for a game, you won't be able to play it online until you've downloaded it!
