Govrnment Scrappage incentive

Will the scrappage scheme stay in operation til 30th June as promised by the government even after the election? My car can't be scrapped until May and I had hoped to wait til then to start getting a deal on a new car. I was hoping dealers would be more anxious to deal when things get quieter.
