    i;m on an invalidity pension, recenctly seperated, does any 1 know, if i can claim lone-parents?

    sorry, the answer is no. if you were getting illness benefit instead of invalidity pension you could switch things around and get one parent family payment and 1/2 rate illness benefit, but only for a maximum of 15 months.
    if you try to switch from invalidity to OPFP beware you will lose your free travel and your household benefits package as these schemes do not apply to OPFP. also OPFP is slightly less than invalidity pension. please stick with your invalidity pension.:)
