    Hello,
I'm very worried I won't get Back To Education Allowance OR maintenance grant.
I want to do Accounting Technician Fetac 5 but i already did a sh**ty FAS payroll and accountancy 4 MONTH course which was also Fetac Level 5.
I was told you can only get help with your education if yor doing a higher level course, eg in my situation Fetac 6 7 or 8.
Has anyone been in my situation and still got BTEA?
Any advice or opinions are much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

My cousin wasn't affected, they did a FETAC Level 6 in PC Maintenance I think. You should be alright I'd say.

As far as I know if the course you are hoping to do is the association of accounting technicans of Ireland course it is a level 6 course and not a level 5.

It is 2 years theory and then further time work experience (could be 3 or 4 years altogher)

    Hope this helps
