    Hi :)

I'm looking for a day foundation but I can't seem to find one that fits all my needs. I'm very pale and have quite acne prone skin which is dry in some places but can get oily during the day. If anyone knows of a good pale foundation (and I mean pale - unfortunately I've found that even the palest shades of most foundations are too dark for me) that gives heavy enough coverage without looking like it's piled on, please please let me know! I've tried L'oreal True Match (too dark and sinks into skin after a while), Elizabeth Arden Intervene (too heavy for day use) and Benefit powder foundation (both too dark and too light).

Any suggestions at all are appreciated! I don't mind paying a bit of money for it as foundation is something I would use nearly every day :)

    Thanks in advance :) xo

I love Bare Minerals, don't know how many times I've posted here praising it. I used get oily patches and flaky patches with any makeup before, but this has completely stopped since I started using the bare minerals foundation. It covers really well - my sister gets very bad acne and it really covers any patches without looking caked on. The fairly light colour is very pale. They have concealer powders too but you can just put on the foundation powder using the concealer brush and it does the job perfectly.

If you go in to the counter you can ask them to put it on for you to see what it's like. I was very skeptical about using a powder foundation because of the flakey patches I used get, but once the girl at the counter put it on me I was converted.

I have the same skin as yourself OP.

Copied and pasted from another thread. :o
I use Bobbi Brown Natural Finish Long Lasting Foundation and find it brilliant.

I use it every day and find it amazing. It gives full coverage, but still looks natural.

A little goes a long way. It's a liquid foundation, so may not be what your looking for OP.

+1 on the Bare Minerals. Build it up and it will definitely cover any spots or blemishes. Im quite sceptical about foundations but really do recommend this! Get the makeup girls to put it on your skin and walk around for a while, see what you think and how it lasts!

Estee Lauder Doublewear Light in the very lightest shade, it's really pale. About €34 though so ask for a sample first. La Roche Posay have brilliant moisturisers for acne prone skin to help with the flakiness.

I also have the same skin type.
Having tried lots of different foundations, my last purchase was Bobbi Brown also, but was the Moisture Rich one, http://www.bobbibrown.co.uk/product/2336/8220/Makeup/Face/Foundation/Moisture-Rich-Foundation-SPF-15/Award-Winner/index.tmpl.

I was given the lighest shade in that range:D!!
Really like it, no problems at all with it and I find it lasts long and has great coverage.
