Anyone know how to apply for the jobs that will be going in the polling centres or the count centres.Just wondering if these jobs only go to those in the know or can anyone get them

There are various threads on this already and I believe the consensus is that you have to 'know someone' but there's no harm contacting your local Returning Officer (usually the local city/county sheriff - google is your friend) putting yourself forward.

    See here and here.

Letter to the county council or to the courthouse, the county registrar looks after elections, but talking to someone in there lately there getting hundreds of applications in the last couple of weeks. Won't really know if positions are available until they send out the letters to the the people who currently have the jobs and if they don't send there letters back in time they loose their position.
