    Trailer

I hadnt heard about it until Giamatti won a GG but with him and Hoffman in it should be good and watchable at least

    That trailer is terrible.

It's like they got the 'funny version' trailer and the 'serious version' trailer and just jammed them both together with no regard for how uneven it would make the film look.

    i thoroughly enjoyed this film.
    excellent performances.
    fantastic soundtrack.
    some very moving scenes.
perhaps a little too soap-opera at times.

Even the poster makes it look terrible.

Trailers are generally really inaccurate...Anyone seen the Lord of War trailer for example...

Myself and my girlfriend went to this tonight.

I have to say, this is one of the most memorable films I've ever seen, and my gf agreed.

I cannot believe this wasn't even nominated for an oscar for best picture and worse still, that Paul Giamati hasn't been nominated for best actor. The performance of his career. One of the best I've seen in a long, long time.

Cannot believe how little attention this is getting. We both enjoyed the Black Swan immensely, and I'm a massive Aronofsky fan, but we were both more affected by this than Black Swan. Totally different films, but it's a case of substance over style in this case.

One interesting note, the style of the first 45 mins/hour was totally different to the rest of the film. It just keeps getting better and better. And one scene is one of the most realistically moving that I have seen in years.

I urge you to go and see this.
