problem with laptop

hi got a compaq p3 laptop and when I was inserting the charger into back of laptop I must have accidentally touched the usb port as there was a little smoke and is now usb not working…I must have blew it but how do I fix this… i wouldn’t mind but only thave one usb port on this laptop thanks
