best colour to wear with navy

I realize this must be the most ridiculous question ever but..what's the best colour to wear with navy?

I always find white is a great colour to wear with navy. I usually match them two colours when I'm deciding outfits

I wear it with purple a lot; probably because I have loads of purple caridgans etc! I think they compliment each other well

I tend to go for red or powder blue with anything navy.

Cream/ White is always pretty. I love red for the sailor look, but loads of oranges, corals and peaches go with nicely. Purple does too, but I wouldn't wear too much of them together. Also grey if you have a third colour in there (I love wearing Navy!!)
Gold as well for accessories can be really amazing against it

Personally, I love cream, white, nude or silver with it, oh and sometimes tan. Bit of a spectrum of colours there...

The general consensus seems to be anything but black!

I'm another lover of cream with navy and I usually wear purple heels with my navy dress. I avoid red cos I don't think I can do the sailor look but I do think it looks fab!

Grey, cream, corally orange and mustard yellow for me. I love black and navy together though, so you might not want to take my word for it. :P

Silver is nice with Navy.
Certain shades of pink are nice with it too.
Tbh, most colors go well with it.:)

I agree with those posters that suggested the nautical colours. It can be done so subtly too. I'm wearing a long navy cardigan atm with navy tailored pants. I have this broken up with an off white top and a cropped red top over that. Red shoes and an off white hairband

Colourful but classy imo.

I think you can wear black and navy together, and it can look very chic and stylish...sophisticated even. The trick is to make sure it looks intentional. I wear black and navy all the time...

Mustard, red and pink all look great with it. I'm sure you could get away with creamy colours too.

I'm not even really a big pink fan, I just looove navy and have worn it a couple of times in a going-out-y/wedding-y setting and pink accesorizes a dream with it... kinda of a dusty/light pink though, no crazy stuff!

Also, cream is lovely with it!

I'm curious as to how you wear black & navy together? I LOVE navy, and I think it suits me a bit better than black as I'm quite pale, so some tips on mixing the two would be great! When you say intentional, are you talking for example black shirt & navy cardigan/blazer, something like that?
