The newsagents beside the living room does not do 3v any more. I went in looking for 3v credit about a month ago and was told that they dont do 3v any more.

I get my credit in vivo now (vivo is a shop up the road from Ricardsons).

Its such a pity that theres only a few places that does 3v now.

Vivo , Newsweek (That shop on the corner opposite Kebab Klub and the O2 store on the square) and Squareyes [ii] on Forster Street near the Park House.

Hi guys, I tried to find any similar thread to this but the most recent I found was over a year old.

Just wondering what places in Galway city are selling 3v credit at the moment? I know that there's a list on the 3v website, but it hasn't been updated in years and I've been into several places on that list across the country that have told me they no longer do 3v credit.

I got 3v credit recently enough in Happy Days (newsagent in the Galway shopping centre that has Tesco and O'Briens and all that). They are more or less beside Xtravision.

O'learys in salthill do them as well

Only two places in the City Centre that seem to do them anymore are Gala Express on Prospect Hill and Squareyes on Forster St.

MacIsaacs don't do them anymore. In fact, they haven't done them in a long time.

Nah, every man and his dog has Payzone. Very few of them sell 3V vouchers.

    Huh?

Just requote what you said as those are the only places in the city that do it. Think of it as a RT? because generally when i look through threads i dont read everything, just people quotes and thanked topics ect

Slightly on topic, was looking at prepaid options for ryanair booking, as they have switched from visa to MasterCard..someone suggested possibly using the prepaid Galway shopping centre gift MasterCard. I know some of these gift ones work and some don't with ryanair. Has anyone booked with these? Thanks :)

Huge thread about em in Bargain Alerts @ Inishboffin. Read to the end though as some of ones that originally worked dont anymore. I think the Galway one is still inconclusive.

Bargain alerts the forum I assume you mean? Yeah, I googled and found some boards links alright, but yeah, Galway one was inconclusive, so just wondered if anyone in the Galway forum booked recently, as it seems to change.:)

Can anyone tell me of any shops around Galway city that are definitely still doing 3V vouchers? Have tried so many places today and cant seem to find 1 at all.... Have checked the 3V website but it hasnt been updated in ages.....

Happy Days in the Galway Shopping Centre (next to Xtravision) still do them. They are the only place I found in Galway. Edit: Last time I got one there was in May this year.

I also visited 5 or 6 from their 'Where to buy' list on their website and they either didn't sell them or never had sold them. I think 3V have simply copied & pasted the list of PayZone places but many of those don't do 3V (for whatever reason I don't know). But the list is fairly useless as I found out in frustration too :)

Spar in Roscam is where I top up my card from.

They're website is well out of date, it still shows Extravision in Ballybane, which has been closed for months, and even when it was open, when I asked, didn't do them anymore. I recently walked to Doughiska to the Centra shop, and while they do do it, I had problems there, even with a recently issued card. I had success at the new Gala shop in Ballybane, opposite the library, just a minutes walk from home.

The little shop on Eglinton street, I think it's called the Newsbox. I was getting them there up until recently but I just got a Visa Debit card sent out to me by BOI so I guess I don't need them anymore.

If you're using it to fund a Paypal account, you can do an internet bank transfer to PP instead (from AIB anyway). It does take 3 days to get there though.

The Centra on the Dublin road does them still.

I've just got back on to this since yesterday afternoon, thank you all for your help. I went wandering around town myself after work and finally got it back in Farraghers Shop (across from The Crane) on Sea Road. The 3V site is well out of date alrite. They say on it "if you find a shop mapped which is actually not selling 3V Vouchers, we would be grateful if could email or call us". I sent one yesterday at lunch time with a nice list on it, they'll be getting another one from me today with a lot more on it.....
