    Hi,

Could anyone point me in the direction of where I could get a decent large home office desk? something to fit a pc and large monitor and also would have decent storage?

Can't see anything suitable in ikea or argos, they're all too flimsy or cheap looking in many respects. Want to invest in a solid desk to put in our living room.

Any help would be much appreciated!

    Jamestown Industrial Estate in Finglas.

Theres a place in there, that specializes in 2nd hand office furniture and desks at feck all prices.

They sell to business and the public too. They wont turn you or your money away.;)

Or else go to one of the many auction rooms in Dublin and have a look around those.

Try Littlewoods, sometimes they do have nice ones.

As Paddy147 posted go and look for 2nd hand office furniture. For some reason there seems to be loads of it about at the moment. :(
I've used the guy in Finglas mostly good gear last time I was there. Also used to be a place over by Shelbourne Park down by the canal if memory seves me.

I signed off PO's for office furniture back in the late 98-99 desks cost over £800 ea. (I wasn't paying :)) The place was taken over asset stripped and that was that until late 2000 I was helping a mate set up an office we bought 6 spanking desks for about €500. The very desks I had bought 18months or so earlier.

You're spot on the Argos/Ikea stuff is pure rubbish.
