i am setting up a home network for sharing music/movies etc.
i've got my windows laptop sync'd up but can't seem to get the imac up and running.

the imac has most of my movies and music so that's what i need on there :-(

anyone got any experience with doing this?
    all help appreciated.

Playback for Mac is better as it supports MKVs.
