Some people are dumb

Is it my imagination or is there an incredible amount of stupidity in this country? Pretty much every day i see classic examples of just plain....brainlessness.

    - tescos/petrol station queue, same sh!t every time. People (im sorry but its obviously mostly women) have their items scanned, checkout person asks for money & then theres a 5 minute handbag adventure of Indiana Jones proportions for money or a laser card? WFT? You know you had to pay for it, so why the confusion? what?? i have to pay for this stuff??...but?.....

    - People driving 2 foot off my bumper. You moron, do you not know if i hopped on the brakes, you'd fly into the back of me? Learn to drive. Its incredible the way you have to pre-empt other peoples bad driving habits all the time.

    - People simply refusing to indicate while driving. Are you that lazy or just selfish that you don't have the time to move your hand a few centimetres to activate this mysterious lever on the steering column to let people know what direction you intend to take?

    - People walking in front of you on the street or a shopping center who suddenly stop to ponder their existence on this world. Oops look out, there are other humans probably walking behind you dopey. If i collide with you because of your stupidity, don't give me a look like that. Its your own fault.

    - People who argue with eachother in public. Nobody wants to hear it. Have some dignity.

^ its basic stuff to avoid. Honestly. If these people could just have a wee think before they head out the door, just pretend to be considerate it would make things a bit easier on everyone else. Yes this is a bit of a rant but its annoying behaviour.

Waits for classic short first response...

Totally agree. Especially the one where people suddenly stop walking in front of you or two people decide to suddenly stop in a shop doorway to have a conversation and look indignant when you (politely) ask them to move. I just don't get it!

first one really gets me, i work in a club so my god its annoying, worse is, when its busy you know, you might be waiting maybe 5 - 10 minutes to get a drink, and you still havent decided what you wanted and when i get it for you, you dont have any money ready, reason people have to wait to get served it not cos of bad barmen but inconsiderate customers.

also on the second, have been so tempted many time to just slam on the breaks let them hit me and take em to the cleaners, shame im honest

I used to take great pleasure in moving on to another customer when I'd get to a group of girls queuing at the bar for 5 minutes only to hear the immortal words, "Right girls, what do we wan't". :D Yeah, get back to me when ye know what ye want and yes....after getting back to me with the order and me serving up the drinks, only then would they start rooting for their money.

I am a great believer in the notion that while at secondary school, you are streamed into classes with those of a similar intellectual ability and the peer group/friends you surround yourself with for a lot of your life also come from this secondary school group. You can't help but get the sense of where you stand on the intellectual bell curve from your position within this group. EG. I always felt I was about average intelligence wise because I was about average for the classes I was in.

Its only when you enter the real world after school, enter the workforce and start having to deal with the public that you cop on to the fact that average intelligence in an honours class in school does not equate to average amongst the general populace. It turns out that most people are pretty thick tbh
Remember that while the average IQ might be 100, that doesn't mean that most people have an IQ of 100. It means that all the 110's,120's,130's etc pull up the average figure of all the 70,80&90's thickos :D

There is little you can do OP.

Entities such as yourself just have to somehow muddle along in the miasma of inferior intellect that comprises our society.

Maude you could send a probe to outer space to try and establish contact with life-forms of similar ability as to not feel so alone?

i went into a topaz over xmas to get hot water to put on my wind screen as it was frozen over,i had no access to hot water myself at the time....anyway i had a plastic jug in the boot so i brought it in and was filling it up at the big boilers of hot water that they have 4 making tea.....and then this lanky,spoty,20 year old college dude in a topaz outfit comes over and yells "WHAT ARE YOU DOIN?" .... "im gettin water 4 my windscreen" i said...."THATS THE WEIRDEST THING IVE EVER SEEN"........"well u must'nt get out much then" i said

then he just sighed and mumbled off like a wingin little kid, what really pissed me off is that there was a few people in the shop who were all lookin at this idiot yelling at me...some were laughing(at him im sure!) and lookin at me shaking there heads and rolling there eyes... what a retard tho, tryin to abuse his authority... i felt like smashin the jug into his spoty ****in face! just had to get that off my chest!!

Sure don't you know where they want to go? If you don't, sounds to me like you are at fault for that one OP! :)
