Tried a google seach and it didn't give me much, what i need to know is do all businesses have to register every year with the local council? Basically i need a list of all active businesses in the city and aside from walking the whole city checking each place, is there a list or register the council may have? (Couldn't…

Each Council would have a register of commercial rate payers in their area.

Whether they would release it is another mattter.
