I suppose that the key thing to point out is that you should always talk to a professional (doctor or pharmacist) rather than listening to stories you were told.

    No go to your doctor

    No go to your doctor

You need to go to Boots Chemist. You can buy it over the counter.

You should take to a medical professional for such issues not random people on the internet.

Told by whom? Because that "advice" is total nonsence and it's irresponsible of you then asking non-professional strangers for medical advice to back up this total myth. If someone were to reply "yes, that's correct" would you take that at face value and accordingly take the two pills?? Worrying if so. Even the thread title "Morning After Pill DIY" is totally irresponsible.

Get yourself to Boots or if you are not near one get yourself to a doctor immediately. If you don't have the money either ask the person you had sex with to give you the money or borrow it from a friend.

This is VERY good advice OP. You should read it. Read it again. And remember it.

Don't take the chance. The money you'd spend on the MAP is a very small investment in comparison to the costs of having and bringing up a kid. Get theeself to a doctor/Boots/Family Planning clinic now. The sooner the better.

Well, a quick Google would tell you otherwise, so your 'double checking' skills aren't very good. Go and see a professional and get the proper MAP prescribed.

    Go to boots op.

The worry if waiting for your next period and all the rest is not worth the hassle.

I'm sure you have a friend you ask or just ask some one and pretend the money is for something else.

Believe me you'll feel better after.

I am not a doctor, nor am I giving out medical advice, but I once asked a doctor the very same question and she informed me otherwise.

    Either go to
    - your GP
    - a family planning clinic
    - a well woman clinic
    - a boots chemist

and get the correct morning after pill
