I noticed a spot on my pubic area yesterday, I have had sex recently but not unprotected but I know that Herpes and some similar infections can be caught even with a condom. I tried to get an appointment today but nowhere could fit me in so I won't see a doctor until Monday which sucks.

I have had spots before which I have had checked out but the doctor said were just caused by sweating at the gym or whatever. But this one looks different, its bigger and there was a small white bit on it on yesterday which is gone now. Its not itchy although I am wearing jeans right now and I am aware of it rubbing against the material of my underwear.

I know syphillis starts with a painless sore but I am not sure if this is right on the genital area or as in my case on the pubic area or both.

As I said Im not looking seeking medical advice here just wondering if others have any experience. Before I just went to the GP but have decided I will get a full STI screening and im nervous about how all this works, I suppose I have to take solace in the fact several 100 people go into these places each week and Im not the worst of them.

I know you say you don't want medical advice but you are throwing out medical complaints and expecting posters to give you some advice based on their experience - on something you don't know that you even have...

Only sensible thing to do is get yourself to the doctors and get a professional diagnosis.

    All the best.
