Hi, im looking for a martial arts class preferably in the dun laoghaire area, accessible by the buses 7 and 45a. I've trawled the boards looking for one but to no avail. I did attend a free trial week here, http://www.ymaa.ie/ ,but it was an hour walk up and an hour walk back. This wouldnt be a problem but school and homework needs alot of my time. please help, thanks!:D

Have you tried cycling to ymaa? That hour would be cut down to about 30 to 35 minutes. And you're getting added cardio in on the bike.

just had a look at that website and i've read up on the ole funakoshi but its 5 euro per class. Is that a reasonable price?

Probably a good idea to phone the instructor before you show up, just to avoid a wasted trip.

i, not really sure about bujinkan, what does the curriculum consist of

    - Strikes(kicks, punches, elbows, headbutts, knees, fingers etc etc)
    - Throws, takedowns, sweeps etc
    - Learning how to fall, absorb impact, meet the ground safely, breakfall, roll etc
    - Joint locks, restraining, escaping restraints, grappling, groundwork
    - Footwork, efficient movement, balance, timing, angling, power generation, awareness, tactics, strategies
    - randori (free sparring)

All in a cohesive system that combines everything into a singular drive to train the body so that fighting is a last resort.

Also...Bujinkan takes all of the above an applies it to various weapons... rigid, bladed, projectile, flexible, hidden.

So the curriculum has a lot in it but each part is consistant with each other part. (Typical of Japanese fighting systems of jujutsu, taijutsu etc)
