    Hi guys,

I'm thinking about buying either a Mondeo/Avensis or a Laguna around 2008 ish, what do ye think?

    Cheers.

Avensis old model gotten cheaper but likely to be worth most down the line.125hp standard. Band c tax. Luna model the one to get.

Laguna most comfy and not as badly built as older renaults. Obviously won't hold value as well.

Mondeo best to drive and biggest, bit bulky and not pretty with small wheels and awkward rear styling. Shiney silver plastics on dash not to everyone's taste.

Avensis oldest of them being around since 03. Proper steering on diesel model unlike petrol, very reliable, the car keyboard warriors love to hate

    Have you driven them yet?

If you don't hate the Avensis after 100 yards, then it's a sensible buy, but you probably will. I'd pick the Mondeo over the Laguna.
