Hi guys. I went for a walk across the silage fields yesterday to check growth and boundary fencing. I noticed a lot of my docks roots dug up and exposed, some down as far as a foot deep. Some of the roots were broken off and carried a few feet away from the rest of the plant. What would be doing this and why:confused:. And…

Hi guys. I went for a walk across the silage fields yesterday to check growth and boundary fencing. I noticed a lot of my docks roots dug up and exposed, some down as far as a foot deep. Some of the roots were broken off and carried a few feet away from the rest of the plant. What would be doing this and why. And would the broken off pieces of roots grow again as new plants. This is old pasture with about 50% ryegrass and probably overdue reseeding but i was hoping to delay for one more year but now am not so sure:(
