Style Wise, What Car Do You Think The Americans Got Right?

While the Americans have produced some truely great cars I think it's fair to argue that they've never really been known for stylish or beautiful cars from the 60s onwards. I can think of at least one exception to this and that's the 1963 Corvette Sting Ray Coupe which in my opinion is as stunning looking as anything designed in Europe at the time.

Can you think of anything else that has been designed stateside from the 60s onwards that you can say is a truely beautiful design?

As much as I like the Trans-Am, its not a beautiful car. It is pig ugly.

That's like saying in 20 years time, people are going to be called the Renault Modus a beautiful car.

Don't get me wrong, MCMLXXV, I love them and I think they're a cool looking car, but beautiful it ain't.

They might not always have the smoother lines of European supercars, but I think a load of them look super.

Haha, that'd be him. Giving the Camaro back as part of deal as far as I know.. Not totally sure though.

I've only seen pictures of it, it's an absolutely stunning car! A black car with red interior is unbeatable as far as I'm concerned.

There is only one other one imho. Here it is in a certain German forest 40 odd years ago:

Sometimes I think Id prefer if Audi and BMW made the engines and suspension and the Yanks made the bodies. They just go balls out on everything.
