What is it with these guys? Both have had excellent starts to their pro careers but both are in freefall at present. Dougherty was doubling & trebeling all over the place last week & couldnt break 80. Fisher is heading the same way.
Shame to see - I remember Dougherty in particular spending a lot of time signing autographs etc after a competitive round in the Irish Open @ Carton House a few years ago. Well impressed.

I think the commentators mentioned yesterday that Dougherty is in the process of moving coaches? Also, I'm sure I read somewhere he used to go out with Di Stewart from Sky but she gave him the boot in the past year or two, which coincides with his downturn in form? Then again, I could just as easily have made that up! :o

Hmmm, he actually married Di Stewart only a few weeks ago so there's your theory out the window! He is playing absolute ****e the last 18 months though.

If I was going out/married to Di Stewart or as Sky now say Diana Dougherty im sure my game would go downhill aswell:P

As far as I remember Dougherty's slump coincided with the death of his mother a couple of years ago.

Jesus! Maybe I somehow got all that in my head, mixed it up and came out with... Di Stewart gave him the gate! :D

Nick got married to Di on new years eve/day. His caddie, Michael Kerr, went to Ernie Els 2 weeks ago, after being with Nick for almost 2 years. tbh I think the main reason he has gone downhill in the last few years is down to the fact that he left David Leadbetter. Not exactly sure when they split, but he was his coach during '07. He's 28, I know I'm biased when I say he will return into the top flight again, but I really think he is (EDIT:has potential to be) a top50 World player. He was lingering around that mark when he was playing his best golf. He did tell me in '07 that the only reason he plays golf is to make enough money so that he could retire (sounds like Boo Weekley) and when I heard that I got a bit worried as he wasn't joking, but hopefully someone talked some sense into him since! He's gonna have to start making a few cuts soon though!

Could be because Di's expecting. Just a theory. Some people have gaydars, I've got a pregdar.

Why would Di expecting a child make him play badly, I don't get the logic behind that
