Surprisingly great system setup by the Revenue Service!

I got my taxback statements online yesterday..Got a tidy sum from 2009 surprisingly enough and a hefty one from 2010 cause I only worked 8 months.

    Just a reminder.

I always forget my pin/password for that site and have to request a new one.

I really don't know why as it's the only site where it ever happens!

I was told I was entitled to nothing back even though I worked part-time to June and pretty much full time after that :( Ouch.

Hopefully Ill get some back from this year, got taxed 220e on 3weeks pay yesterday!! Bastids! Do I have to wait til the end of the tax year to get that back? All these q's are prob for another forum actually... oops.

I must get a balancing statement too, see if I can get anything back. Probably not as I worked full time all year but you never know

Whoever sorted out my tax details when I first started for this company ballsed it up, so I pay more tax then I should. I decided to leave it and claim it back every year, tis a good way of saving.

I lodged the cheque from Mr. Tax Man yesterday, and it's pay day today. I'm feckin' rolling in it!! :D

I requested one recently and it turns out I owe them money :(

Incompetent payroll in my last job had ****ed up my pay and for the last 2 years and I'd be underpaying tax

yeah i got my pin there during the week, and used it yesterday.

with myself and my partner combined, we are due a very tidy sum for 2009, and 2010! :D

the site is great for helping you understand what you can claim, and helping you enter that claim, BUT they need to be more specific on what exact information they are looking for, their information entering process is too vague for something so serious!

e.g when the ask you to enter an amount, they do not clarify if they want yearly/monthly figures....

Got about four grand off them two years ago that they owed me in unclaimed credits and then had my tax reduced :) Very happy with that.

Tried it again this year and I owed them two hundred euro, but it said they wouldn't be collecting it:)

    Worth checking out.

    Do be carefull.

I rang them in 2007 because there was an anouncement that people were over taxed over a few years.

Rang them and they told me I owed the 10 grand in upaid tax! In fairness they were very nice and we soon realised that my old employer was pulling a very severe and very stupid stroke.

In their stroke they claimed I worked one day for some crowd called entertainment enterprises and earned 8 grand in one day. and in 2003 i worked 376 days :D That shíts going on my CV

Before requesting a P21 balancing statement, just look at what tax credits you're entitled to and what you're actually paying and you'll see for yourself if you're paying too much or too little.

Got an extra three unclaimed tax credits as a result of my balancing statement..for all the good it'll do me..bunch of robbing barstards.

That's odd. Give your payroll department your tax certificate and tell them to apply that mofo.

great site, but something must happen to your pin after a few days because i've been locked out 3 times so far with the same details and have to apply for a new one. I receive new pin, change it to something easier to remember, works away fine and then few days later locked out.

    Great site?

It must've gotten better then since I used it three years ago. Ever time I put in my details (which were correct, because I checked and checked them constantly) it wouldn't let me in. It was the biggest load of cr@p.

Good to hear that it's gotten better.

actually it appears i have the same issue 3 years later! So i'll say "great site in theory" but needs to actually let people in to use it.
