Strange smell off water

Just wondeing if people have been getting a odd smell off their cold water or is it just me. Getting an odd smell off my cold water. It's hard to describe the smell. A sort of gassy smell off it. I am afraid to drink it atm. just thought i would put it out there before i look to the council about it.

I despise drinking water from the Tap at home.
Am usually drinking cider, or Tea, so am rarely drinking it Straight
Not really noticing it now but in previous years where I lived
I could have sworn there was a taste or odd gassy smell from the water.
Filters etc made no difference. Had it tested twice and both times everything
came back OK

Mains water is chemically treated and would have had extra chemical after leaks were fixed to kill bugs in dirty water.
