I have been looking to buy a car in the UK but im finding it difficult enough to find British sites that DONT ask for postcodes when searching for a car. Im looking for a 2/3 year old Accord or A4.

Anyone know any good sites or can recommend a good garage over there?

Just use autotrader and throw in any postcode that suits;) Select national or whatever as the distance away from the postcode, you'll get postcodes in google, just search for the postal address for any hotel or whatever :)

Did you try the North http://www.usedcarsni.com/

Just use a UK postcode like SW1A 2AA (10 Downing Street)

Bought the missus a 2008 Accord in Feb 09 in Blackburn from Greenacre Honda. They picked me up from the airport in Manchester and were easy to deal with overall. I found autotrader the best of the sites tbh.

Use holyhead as a postcode gives you an idea of how far from the port the car is also.

Autotrader.co.uk and pistonheads are the best,i find alot of cars on PH carry the PH tax though i.e have slightly inflated values.

    re postcodes

put the postcode of the docks you might be taking the car out of so that you know how far you have to drive when you lift the car, eg Liverpool docks travelodge address postcode is L3 4BN, you can do the same for birkenhead, stranraer or any of those places

I found my own Honda Accord through www.autotrader.co.uk

A great site for a browse (with loads of detailed pictures) is www.autoquake.co.uk

For postcodes, just use any of the ones the other lads have given above.

That was very nice of them. Crowd I dealt with in Oldham (in Manchester) said they had nobody available to come and pick me up from airport.

Quick question... is it true that dealers in the UK are not willing to haggle as much as here? That the screen price isn't far off the lowest they'll go?
