Just wondering if everyone finds this but when i lift my black bales i can end up on 2 wheels very easily ! I think im going to have to get a cradle for the front and some weights, lift is fine just a lil light for the job !!

Your bales must have been made in the wet or not wilted much. The 165 is relitivly heavy on the front for its size compared to the likes of a Ford 4000. If ya have a grill guard just weld on a few pieces of angle to the guard to make some sort of carrier and fill it with blocks or something or even 3/4 fill your front tyres with with water.

You might know that a full set of 100series front weights is hard to come across because of the whole vintage machinery scene people like having them on their tractors so. We just happened to have a full set luckily because they came with a ursus even though we had a 188 and 165. We got front wheel weights with the 188 but she was substantial enough to pull the 4 furrow with out the weight so we never really used them because they can wear out the bearing quicker but proper greasing can help it and the wheel weights are easier found than the front weights if you could find a set of front wheel weights might do the job just aswell.
If not just make up a box of 4mm steel and hang on the front and if you can get them fill it with iron punchings and will just as good of a job

put a front end carrier and a set of weight on her. itll look right and its not expensive. and the weights can be used on most masseys afterwards. imo nothing looks worse on a tractor than a made up weight job. imo.
