Horrible feet

I was never conscious about my feet until I moved to college and living in with my friends where a lot of the time you would end up just walking around the place in bare feet or in socks.

Eventually my friends started saying things about my feet (like I would if it was there case) that has me extremely paranoid.

I never took any notice in my feet or anyone’s feet but I sorta assessed myself and I found out that my feet are different to everyone else’s.

Firstly people said that my feet were very flat. As in the sole was flat unlike everyone else’s that was curvy which leave a weird looking foot

Secondly I despise the way my nails grow. They don’t sit flat on my toe like they might on a finger or on someone else’s foot but they are really curved. sorta horse shoe shape that really digs in (doesn’t hurt thought)

Then my feet are really hairy. in general I am a very hairy 19 year old, but I don’t want to shave my feet because I think cutting the hair will just look weird and it will probable encourage it to grow back even worse.

Im an extremely skinny person, BMI of less than 18 so I imagine my feet are thin, long and very bony looking like the rest of me. All my toes are long and spindly looking too.

I can’t really blame the shoes because I wear the same runners, slippers and dress shoes as much as the next lad. It’s to a point now where I hate to even take off my shoes anywhere because i'm so self conscious

I don’t know what to do?

Everyone's feet are different. You'll never find two pairs of feet that are exactly the same or look the same.

Overall, they're just feet. I wouldn't be overly conscious of them as most people don't look at them anyway. If you're walking around the house, just leave your socks on.

This could be a legitimate medical condition known as (surprise surprise), "flat feet". It doesn't look excessively weird and it's definitely not something that they're talking about behind your back.
If you find yourself with foot, knee, hip or back pain, especially when exercising, it would be worth going to a doctor to have them looked at. Otherwise flat feet have no ill-effects.

This generally indicates that your shoes or socks are too tight. You can improve the appearance of your nails by trimming them on a weekly basis.
I find that in general, everyone's toenails look horrendous. I wouldn't stress about it.

Contrary to popular belief, shaving hair does not cause it to grow back worse. Most men have hairy feet. Men with dark hair in particular, have noticeably hairy feet. Again, it's not something they're talking about behind your back :)

As I say above, just leave your socks on all the time and you've nothing to stress about. People generally aren't looking at your feet or judging you based on them. :)

Just wear black socks and people won't even notice your feet.

People always comment on hairy feet so don't take it personally. Shave if you have to. Keep your toenails short and they won't be noticeable either. As for flat feet, if you have the cash to spare a trip to a doctor might be in order. But if it's not affecting your back or your ability to exercise it's probably not too urgent, all he can do is prescribe a special in-sole for your shoe that raises the arches. It won't change how your feet look but might stop them from getting worse.

  • I know some problems are more important to some people than others, but for goodness sake. If this is your biggest concern, count your blessings. Seriously. I have horrific looking feet as well (bunions, flat feet, weird toes) and while I'd love it if they were nicer, I have other things to worry about. I try to make the best of them in summer by painting my toenails and all, but they're just feet. Most of the time they're completely covered anyway, so who really cares? I don't mean to be patronising but seriously, just enjoy your life. One day you'll look back and wonder how you ever worried about something so silly. If anyone mocked you for having ugly feet, they'd be a pretty pathetic person and not worth knowing.

Without wanting to sound mean but is that all that bothers you? Your feet?
I hate feet in general, no matter whos they are but i would never comment on them. well once on my bf but his toe nails were very long.
Ieven have two webbed toes (rest are norma so dont know why)
i just wear socks, and considerig your a guy, you dont ever have to worry about open toe shoes so your fine :)

I hate my feet too but hate shoes!

So basically i cut my toenails and paint them every single week.

Just look after them. And if all else fails just wear socks or wee sock slippers.
