    Hi,

I have been reading some posts/articles on marathon training. And one term that pops up often is and 'LSR Run'

What is meant by this? And is it a fundamental part of marathon training?

    Thanks!!

It means long slow run matd. It teaches your body to use fat as a fuel source as yous heart rate should be nice and low .Also builds endurance. Its a very very important part of marathon training. Long slow runs are typically done at 60-90 secs slower than planned marathon pace.
