I have to reseal the point between an oil boiler and the flue using silicone and was wondering how long it would take before I can turn the boiler back on?

    Tks,

It actually says it on most tubes. Thats not a smart answer its just i cant remember. I use to import Firestop 400(acrylic 2 hour) and fire stop 700(silicone 4 hour) however do not be tempeted to get these. This is a common mistake.

Its silicone specific for flue and is usually red that you need.

Dow Corning make a very good quality heat proof silicone, expensive but good.
