Hi, The missus is looking to get a bog standard mobile phone which will only be used for calls and texts (nothing fancy, won't be using internet/apps/wap or even camera necessary).
Her existing phone is acting up (due to baby slobbers lol!) and she just wants to transfer the sim to a new cheap handset. Not entitled to upgrade. With Vodafone.

    Any recommendations?

Carphone Warehouse are doing a samsung kai at the moment, its with the o2 network. Its 9.99 for the phone and has to be bought with 20e credit. You can put your vodafone sim into the phone after you've used your credit! :)

How much do you want to spend? You could get a few for less then €30, but for around €80 you could get something a little more decent.

Can I just discard an o2 sim and replace it with a vodafone? (its bill pay, so that will probably not work? )

@Davy- 50Euro max budget as we have 3 other handsets in the house which all work but have various little niggly problems (have to charge the battery in one phone and then switch it to the one that won't charge but works the best etc.)I also have a new Android.

A simple cheap new phone would solve the prob and 9.99 or even 30 would be fine (needs to be able to take a vodafone bill-pay sim)
Would be great if you could recommend one,Thanks

    €20 - http://powercity.ie/?par=20-30-51580

    €45 - Nokia 5030

€55 - Nokia 2330 - the one i would go for. These are all sim free, so will take any sim card, be it vodafone, meteor etc.

For your own info, any vodafone locked phone will take a vodafone payg or billpay sim, their isn't a differential.
