I am looking for information on a Bentwood chair. I want to know if this is a rare piece and possible value, I know the chair was made prior to the J & J Kohn company, Josef Jaworek only had this company Teschen for approx 7 years, from 1907 to 1914, I have tried every website iI could find and it seems that of a couple I could find were in museums, none of which resembled this captain style chair, please find photos posted also, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Lilly... I was googling and came across your posting about your chair. I was amazed, looking at your pics, that I have almost the exact same chair but mine was manufactured by J&J Kohn and probably originally had a caned seat. Back in 2008, I had my chair appraised and was told that it probably dates from around 1890 and was worth about $295 Canadian. Hope you still have yours as it is worth some money :)
