Well, whether we like it or not, the election campaign started once the Greens made their announcement on Sunday last.

My question is, should Fianna Fail be getting this disproportionate amount of coverage? i thought that the broadcasters were obliged to give balance.

It is theor own fault that they are in such a mess but they should a greater exposure in the media during an election campaign - no matter how interesting their leadership election etc is.

Tonight on Prime Time - Why you should vote Fianna Fail. I mean seriously folks at what stage does too much become too much. Are they going to stuff FF propaganda down our throats the whole month? That Frontline special they had back in December was disgusting.. packed with FF'ers and Ogra types all discussing how to save the party.. National broadcaster my hoop.

Well its obvious even today when Mr Martin was mentioning his idea of debates (although I already had heard of the upcoming debates a few days ago) that he was already trying to sideline Gerry Adams and his org.
Now I'm not standing up and saying that they deserve to be heard despite history and suspected events surrounding their party - but in this one instance alone, its clear that if we are going to hold true to the idea that ALL can have a say through such now peaceful organisations, their org leaders should all be represented at such debates.

I'm waffling but what I mean to say is that I suspect that Mr Adams alone is being sidelined deliberately - for FF do not want to give the man (and his party) an additional platform for themselves even to be heard!
...And thats undemocratic frankly - regardless if one agrees with SF ideology or not!
