So since black ops is ****e is there anyway to get into a game in mw2 that is not modded ?

I've been searching for about an hour and haven't found 1

Hate that IW allowed this to happen to a good game.

Hacked / modded it's all fooked, supposedly there is no way to play online on PS3 now due to exploited code.

I never noticed anything like that playing MW2, is it a recent thing because I gave up on multiplayer to play the single player campaign?

A recent security exploit discovered by a group of PlayStation 3 hackers has become a major issue for one of gaming's most popular shooters.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 have become "exposed to exploits and hacks" due to the PS3 security breach. What's worse is that developer Infinity Ward is currently unable to provide a complete fix.

"Games rely on the security of the encryption on the platforms they're played on, therefore; updates to the game through patches will not resolve this problem completely, unless the security exploit itself is resolved on the platform," Community Manager Robert Bowling explained. "However, that doesn't mean we're not going to look into every option available to us."

"Regretfully, Call of Duty games are receiving the bulk of the hacker's attention, due to its high player counts and popularity. However, the number of legitimate players severely outweighs the bad apples."

"At this time, we do not have the ability to restore or adjust individual stats."

In the meantime, Bowling suggests concerned players should play exclusively with friends until Sony is able to resolve the issue. He added that Infinity Ward's future titles will unlikely utilize the platform's security.

"In the future we plan to adjust our approach to not rely solely on platform security and reduce the ability for this to happen in our games, as has already been displayed by the work Treyarch has done on Call of Duty: Black Ops to prevent similar measures."

Activision has not responded to requests for comment.

And here is where all the hacking becomes a really bad thing.

Sure we get back OtherOS and can play Mario on a Snes emulator but at what cost?

    Whatever Black Ops costs !

It won't happen on Black Ops to that degree, until the next COD is released.

Then the same will happen, and if you want a decent MP experience you'll be forced to shell out for the next "unhackable" edition of COD.

Mercenary TDM is suppose to be not too bad with hackers. Once these twats get bored hopefully it wont be as bad.

I watched a vid of Gunns4hire from NGT on youtube talking about this. its a real shame that COD4 and MW2 have been left to rot by hackers. Im getting sick of Black Ops already and was thinking of getting all nostalgic and blowing the dust off MW2 till i heard about this. Apparently this isnt an issue on Xbox either so if IW/Activision wanted to fix it they'd need to do it solely for PS3 and i think we all know already that PS3 are the poor relations when it comes to COD series. if it started on Xbox they'd be sure to fix :(

Might even have to go back to WAW now !

There's a lot of banning going out now for black ops on the ps3 for those using hacks and backups.

Thats the thing, MS have been very strict with banning for the past few years ever since hackers started messing with CoD4, kind of had to because Xbox users pay to play. Sony are very lax with bannings on PSN. Once Sony get the finger out it should calm things down a good bit.

lol MOH was great for the ps2 but an epic fail on the ps3 for me, aww how i was hoping it would be so different, was truely my fave all time game till i played WAW campaign. Anywho, apparently the recent security patch on the PS3 (3.56 or something) has done some good in ridding these games of hackers, apparently a lot less of them in lobbies now!
