So I got an iPhone 4 on o2 prepay today and all is working fine, I topped up by 20 euro and I got 5 euro free. I haven't sent a text or made a phonecall yet but my balance is down to 24.01. is this because the 3G symbol in the corner means it is connected to the internet and could that be what is taking the credit from my account? It says "Cellular Data"is turned on, should I turn this off?

    Thanks,

Yup in the same boat here but only switch on 3G when I absolutely need it and no wireless network nearby.
O2 charge a flat rate of 99 cent for 50MB up to midnight of that day.

It can be an expensive option if you are connecting over 3G to check mail or light browsing.

I am thinking of switching to 3 as they have better value data package at 4.99 a month with 500MB cap.
