    Hi,

Looking for opions and comments on info below

    From the stickies:
Budget: €550 max if - would prefer 450-500
Intended use: internet, e-mail, Skype, Photoshop, Microsoft Office,
Connect to TV (youtube and movies etc...)
Mobility: Not really issue. Drive everywhere and the laptop will mainly be used at home
Warranty: Not important - Standard warranty is fine
What Operating System do you use? Windows/PC

Does it have to say HDMI for the laptop to be hooked up to the TV?

I was looking at laptops recommended here on saveonlaptops.uk. Has anyone recieved €100 cashback on the Toshiba offers? I seen the other thread where a couple of people are waiting to register.

    Any opions on these:

    http://www.saveonlaptops.co.uk/Samsung_E452_1008725.html

I've been looking at i3 processors just after reading the stickies. Would a dual core be OK for what I need. Some other good deals and I know the brands better (toshiba)

    Hi,
No to be honest I've rarley used it but its something i hope to get into too. I'd imagine i will be doing very basic adjustments,

Croping, Colour Fixing, Layering for landscapes night scenery at different exposures etc....

If you were to do serious photoshop work then you would need to think about a dedicated graphics card but then you will be going over your budget.
The Lenovo laptop you linked to isn't bad but the hard drive is 250GB. That could fill up quickly with photos, music etc.

    How about a Dell?

Or a HP one but its just over your budget.

Other guys here might be able to give you more options.

Thanks for the replies and suggerstions....

I'll have a proper look at the links you provided later (just nipping in and out of boards here in work)

The photoshop IF i definitly start using it will be more an occasional thing and dont game so not sure if that makes a difference in relation to a graphics card.

I suppose my main things im looking at is a decent processor with is quick enough for all general googling, streaming youtube and reliable. I have one external hard drive already with my photos and I get another one if needed so Id sacrafice a memory for speed/processor/RAM. (whichever makes it quicker) Im a bit clueless with computers as u can tell.

I would be looking though at a i3 processor just from reading the stickies. Or is that over the top for what i need. Would a dual core be enough

If you can afford a laptop with an i3 processor I'd go for that one.

The specs looks good on that one. Bare in mind it works out at about €585 with exchange rate.
