Where would you find some goats? Or a donkey maybe.

Tried my regional forum but no one is biting.

So, anyone know somewhere in the Wicklow/Dublin/Kildare area that would sell a few goats or a donkey?

I've asked a few of the local farmers and they weren't much help except to say that they haven't seen any at the local mart in years.

There's donkey rescue centres across the country where you can get a donkey for free these days, just google it. Sadly since the celtic tiger died ponies and donkey's became worthless. During the building boom, every house had a pet like this, now people just cannot afford to keep them.

Aye, the uncle has two from 'the donkey sanctuary' in Cork. They have fosterers all over the country, so maybe give them a call.

AFAIK ya have to rehome 2 for company
The usual rehoming checks apply, and secret spot checks afterwards to make sure there keeping well.
Costs a nice bit, 50e everytime the farrier comes, dentist bills, all the vet bills etc so take that into account. im sure they will run through it all with ya if ya need advice
