Folks, not sure if ye have had this one yet, cant find anything through searching...
Upgraded my andriod platform (around 4pm yesterday) to new hardware, the Desire HD, delighted with it so far but one problem. I got a few messages delivered last night around 10pm one was stamped as sent about 28hrs earlier and some others 8/9 hrs earlier. Not receiving one of these close to on time is after costing me some money. Called my carrier and they say they cant help/access the data i require... An old trick we used to use years ago involved changing the time on your computer to a later time, auto-sending emails at a set time to a non tech savvy boss who logged in the next day and thought you were working late when you were actually sculling points down the pub. Anyway, anyone know if this trick/similar is possible on the android platform?!

SMS are sent in the " Management Packets " that base-station and phones use to communicate so they can get cached for upto a few weeks.

And yes it is VERY easy to fake ALL the details of a SMS.
