You could try Yomac cars, they do a lot of work on Jags. You often see their add up the "google ads" above.

You won't find a bad word said about them here! ;)

I have a similar Jag I bought from Cameron Cars in Glasnevin. Very good to deal with. They fix and service Jags.

Any Decent Jag Mechanics in the Limerick Area (03 X-Type sport).. Just for general Servicing. I'll settle for a Decent non-jaguar Mechanic/Garage that others have used and trust

    Thanks in advance.

Another + for Yomac Cars in Glasnevin. Sound people. I do most stuff on my XK8 myself, but send it to Yomac for the rest.

A ford mechanic should be able to take care of your mondeo x-type ;)

Again, au contraire. Search on here for certain threads. Perhaps about 1.5 to 2 years ago.

How can you au contraire my experience ? I have bought a car from them and have had a few bits of work done (service, timing chains, bushes, etc) and it's all been great. Apart from doing service items and repairs myself, Yomac are pretty much the only ones I trust with my car.

If there's negative or positive experience that you have first hand, then give it rather than dissing mine - and rather than talking about searching threads - which by the way only returns positive comments from people.

In fairness the V6 is rare enough in Mondeos, so too the AWD system. In saying that for routine servicing any decent mechanic would have no bother, they won't enjoy doing the plugs though, they'll enjoy charging for it though :)

Thats what happened at the last service..They didn't like doing the plugs..As for going to Ford..Are you mad..They charge an absolute fortune to do anything..
Oh and thanks for the mondeo snipe ...buggers in work never tire of that one..

Surely the plugs are 60K miles longlife jobs? So you shouldn't need them doing for ages again. Fair enough the Mondeo slagging if you have a diesel 2.0 X type but when you have the 2.5 AWD I would have thought you'd have plenty ammunition to defend your choice, the mongs you work with probably drive silver TDi Passats or some other snore mobile ;)

The lads in MKW had a lovely DB5 in recently.

Another mate had his Jag coupe looked after by them.

@ Kalel; if you don't mind a spin, you could try Bradleys in Galway. They're the main dealer here, and their workshop manager has won the Jaguar worldwide technicians competition twice; you won't find many better than him!

Hey swampy, long time no see. I remember you posting on Jagforums some time back when you bought your car. How is she behaving? Hope all is well with her. Maybe some day we might arrange an x300 mini meet!! lol

    Take care.

There is nothing difficult about the plugs on the V6, More arkward then your average 4 cylinder yes but they take a half hour maybe. There are plenty out there who will make out they are a massive job and that inlet manifolds etc have to come off and try to charge accordingly.

As for older jags, there is no reason that any competant garage can't carry out any required work.
