    If you have not sent it off yet and the camera is under 1 year old you are entitled to bring it back to the retailer for a refund, repair or replacement.

    @ Trevor I think he's asking if there will be customs duty/VAT on it when it arrives back here.

    I could be wrong but since it's not a purchase I don't think you'll have to pay anything

    Yeah the retailer is actually in Taiwan... so I won't have to pay tax or what?

    When it's returned, it may be stopped by customs. In order to avoid charges, you'd have to show them proof that it was sent for repair, and is just being returned to you now. All you can do is send it off and see what happens on it's return.
